  • Dear paying Pro users: you can now view all your invoices here. You can click on the billing info to edit it as you like. The invoices are print-friendly—thanks for the generous support to keep us going, by the way!

Weekly update: 2018 week #37

Ongoing

  • [Pro] We’re working on automated invoice generation so you won’t need to write to us to ask for an invoice before tax season!

Improved

  • Added new customizable shortcut for unchecking all children items. This is useful if you want to reuse the same checklist every day or every week.

Fixed

  • [UX/minor] Fixed cannot undo after using Ctrl+drag to make copy of item.

Ongoing

  • [Pro] We’re working on automated invoice generation so you won’t need to write to us to ask for an invoice before tax season!

Improved

  • [UX] Show checked off items as visually checked in the “Move to” and Internal Link dialogs so you don’t accidentally move something under an invisible checked item.

Quick heads-up: there will be a maintenance happening at 10 pm EDT this Saturday, September 15 (2 am UTC, September 16). The maintenance will last around 1 hour.

  • [Tag] Made it so that purely numeric tags like “#42” won’t be recognized as tags. They won’t appear in the tag pane either.
  • [LaTeX] Updated KaTeX version to the latest version so that newer functions like colorbox can be used.

Improved

  • [iOS] Added support for x-callback-url to other apps. Will be released in 1.2.9 (currently in review).

Fixed

  • [Backup] Fixed color labels are not saved in server generated OPML backups.
  • [UX] Fixed dialog popup non-functional when deleting a document or folder with extremely long name.
  • [UX/minor] Don’t show “custom date format” Pro option to free users to avoid confusion.

Sorting

Ever wanted to sort things in Dynalist? Now it’s possible!

To use: choose one or more items and select the sort key and order. If only one item is chosen, its children will be sorted. If multiple items are chosen, they themselves will be sorted and their children will not be affected.

Sorting is available right now on the web app.

Yes, it’s coming to the desktop apps very soon. No, we’re not sure when it will be available on the mobile apps. No, it’s not a Pro feature. And yes, we will consider adding shortcuts for these commands for you power users. Leave a comment for any other question you might have!

  • [Search] Increased priority of full match results.
  • [API] Enabled CORS for the API.

Fixed

  • [API] Fixed list file API endpoint gives bad root_file_id.
  • [UI] Fixed sharing dialog option not being properly updated when opening the dialog for another document.
  • [API] Fixed internal error for edit files API endpoint.

Weekly update: 2018 week #31

This is our weekly update for the 31st week of 2018. The features and fixes might arrive at the desktop and mobile app a few days later than the web version.


Feature

  • [Mobile app] You can now upload images or file attachments on the mobile apps. The image could either be from your gallery or your camera. This feature will be available in version 1.2.8 of both the iOS and the Android app. Note: this is a Pro feature like on web and desktop.

Weekly update: 2018 week #30

This is our weekly update for the 30th week of 2018. The features and fixes might arrive at the desktop and mobile app a few days later than the web version.


Improved

  • [Version history] Highlight the right items in version history. Before, if both a parent item and some of its children items were changed, the entire parent tree will be highlighted in version history. Now, only the actually changed items are highlighted.

Fixed

  • [Version history] Fixed changes in document root item note are not displayed.
  • [UX] Fixed after using “Make a copy” option on a document, the name gets reverted to the original document name a few seconds after renaming.
  • [Copy/paste] Fixed empty links getting pasted as “[](null)”.
